Malý výlet do Paříže

Malý výlet do Paříže

The book Malý výlet do Paříže is intended for readers and viewers from the age of 7. It is a visual and linguistic guide to Paris in the 1920s and 1930s, which works with works from the École de Paris exhibition. Artists from Bohemia and Interwar Paris and with paintings from the permanent exhibitions of the National Gallery of Prague in the Veletržní Palace. With the main characters, the draftswoman Tita, the painter Zdeněk and the Siamese cat Cyril, we will travel by train to Paris to see their artistic friends. We will stay with the painter Georges Kars, visit the main Parisian monuments and important galleries. Zdeněk will invite us to his studio and in the evening we will go to Montmartre to hang out with Modigliani and Chagall, for example. The next day we will set off for the south of France to see the painter Otakar Kubín and maybe even further. We will learn basic French words and phrases and, through the paintings of Czechoslovak artists, we will experience a small trip full of observations, walks, pleasures, friendship and proverbial French charm.
